Alvin, TX — Chance Trahan, the two-time Presidential Candidate who has already taken on Washington Corruption, is bringing the fight Home. Today he officially announced his NonPartisan Campaign to unseat 16-year incumbent Stacy L. Adams and become the next challenger for Brazoria County Commissioner for Precinct 3. And let me tell you that this is a contender to watch for, because he's known to shake and move without a hitch when others just won't do a darn thing.
“Mustang District deserves more than pothole patches and photo-op ribbon cuttings,” Trahan said. “For years we’ve watched the same commissioner slap a Band-Aid on crumbling streets while the rest of the county’s infrastructure just falls apart. As someone from Vegas, I feel like I'm living in the Stone Age, y'all. Short-strip upgrades, half-cocked repairs, and mile-after-mile of potholes have become the signature of this administration incumbent, and the worst part about all of this is that taxpayers are the ones paying the price, and I'm not having it. Go big or go home? Well, I'm ready to work!”
Chance continues by saying, "I gruel over the endless stretches of all these dilapidated roads all around Alvin, Manvel, Iowa Colony, and northern Pearland that have seen nothing but temporary patches, or just no work being done at all. While Mr Patches, all respect due, is just-now getting around to laying new asphalt over bumpy roads. Am I spoiled and just talking crazy, or am I speaking your language here? I can't be the only one driving around rolling their eyes at yet another day of paying money for taxes and diddly squat happening that shows real effort. And like I said, I'm not here to throw shade, but if the shoe fits... Well," Trahan shrugs and raises eyebrows—in more way than one.
“If the money is there for roadwork, then where is the money going?” Trahan asked. “Because, it sure isn’t showing up in full-scale, coordinated overhauls that would actually solve the problem. Sixteen years is long enough to learn how to repave more than a few blocks at a time. I know, I'm from Vegas. And if you've never been to Vegas, then allow me to explain. This don't happen in Vegas, son. Never. Not in a million years. Them roads and streets are taken care of, and gosh darnit if that ain't the first order of business. And if them streets aren't being cared for, then people start looking around like it's a who-dun-it. Tell me I'm lyin', please.”
Mustang Bayou Is About to Get a Vegas-Style Glow-Up
And Chance Trahan Is the One Holding the Blueprint
Listen up, Precinct 3 — the guy who learned how to build world-class streets under the neon lights of Las Vegas is coming home to Alvin, and he’s bringing the playbook with him.
In Vegas, we don’t patch potholes. We close the whole damn Strip, mill it down to the dirt, and reopen it smoother than a roulette table in 72 hours later. That’s not a fantasy — that’s Tuesday night on Las Vegas Boulevard.
That same energy is headed straight to Mustang Bayou in 2027.
Here’s exactly what Chance Trahan is about to do the second he’s sworn in:
- Shut down FM 517, FM 1462, CR 99, and every busted corridor in coordinated phases — mill to the dirt, rebuild the base, new drainage, fresh asphalt — open them back up looking like Vegas postcards - Run night crews and weekend crews — because nobody in Vegas tells the public “sorry, we only work banker’s hours” - Demand performance bonds on every contractor — miss the deadline in Vegas and you pay. Same rules apply in Brazoria starting Day One - Turn the county road department into a machine that moves like the Nevada DOT — synchronized signals, real-time traffic apps, crews that finish the job before the cones grow roots - Bring Vegas-style development speed — subdivisions approved faster, permits in weeks instead of years, roads built to handle the growth instead of crumbling under it - Light up the main corridors like the Strip at night — better visibility, safer streets, and a downtown Alvin that finally looks like it gives a damn
The Brazoria Commissioner hopeful, Chance Trahan, says, "Sixteen years of 'good enough' is over. It's time for the big dog to do business, and I do mean business. Did I mention that I stand on business? Because, I do. And believe me, there is much more than this projected to happen. Just wait til I get into office and start tearing down the walls like my name is Trump. I hate to say it, but I dare you to try and stop me. I have about had enough. I appreciate what you've done, but it's time for the adults to take over and start spreading out the accountability cards, because they're beyond past-due, my good man."
Trahan, A former presidential candidate who built grassroots teams in four states without taking a dime from corporate PACs, says his campaign will be 100% people-funded and 100% focused on Mustang District priorities:
Mustang District Projected Roadmap Talking Points
- Full roadway overhauls, not endless patch jobs
- Transparent budgeting so every dollar for roads actually hits the pavement
- Flood mitigation that protects homes instead of just checking boxes
- Lower property taxes through smarter spending, not higher levies
The forgotten towns of Alvin, Manvel, Iowa Colony, and northern Pearland are about to get the full Vegas treatment — bright lights, smooth rides, and zero excuses.
Chance Trahan didn’t come from a place that tolerates busted streets. He came from the city that turns desert into paradise overnight.
And starting January 2027, he’s turning Mustang Bayou into the next Vegas success story — Texas style.
Get ready, Precinct 3. The house always wins… and this time, the house is YOU.
“I’ve stared down the Deep State in the Alaskan State Capitol,” Trahan said with a grin. “Taking on just one seat in Brazoria County? this is going to feel like a vacation, except this time the potholes are a lot bigger and the excuses are looking ever-so smaller, Mr Patch Adams.”
Trahan’s petition to appear on the November 2026 ballot as an independent candidate is live now at brazoriacommissioner.com. He needs 500 valid signatures from registered voters in Precinct 3 who did not vote in the March primaries.
“Help kick the seat out from under patch-job politics. Sign the petition today.”
